Stirling Castle dominates the scenery, sitting majestically high on a volcanic rock, and played a major part in the Scottish struggle against the English.

Close by are the Battlefield's of Stirling Bridge and Bannockburn where in 1297 and 1314 Scotland's finest achieved resounding victories over King Edward's English troops. These victories were to change the face of Scottish History, immortalised by the film Braveheart.
